Special Technical Tours

These tours are exclusively offered to participants in the ISWA 2012 Florence World Solid Waste Congress. In order to register for a tour you MUST have registered and paid to participate in the Congress, or must be an invited guest or speaker at the Congress.

The two tours offered are for a minimum number of registrants, 20 each. If this number is not reached the tours will be cancelled. There is a maximum number of 45 registrants per tour due to safety considerations at the plants visited.

Upon making your registration you will be notified by August 10th 2012 with confirmation that the visits are to proceed, or with a cancellation. If the visits proceed you should then make payment, not before, and book your return train and/or flights for Friday evening 21st September.

Each tour is offered for a nominal fee to cover just the cost of the transport and driver to the plants visited and the tour organisation. NOT INCLUDED IN THE TOUR PRICE is the cost of hotels and restaurants in the two stop-overs of the nights of Wednesday 19th (in Florence) and Thursday 20th September, so that participants can choose according to their own budgets. For the night of Wednesday the 19th you may wish to confirm the room you had booked already during the Congress for an extra night as you will be sleeping in Florence.
